Softball Recap: Elmore County Takes a Loss

Brewbaker Tech hit Elmore County with a five-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell just short of the Rams by a score of 7-6. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Hicks was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Baileigh Ames, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Elmore County's loss dropped their record down to 19-21. As for Brewbaker Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record this season.

Elmore County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brewbaker Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-2 defeat against Shelby County on the 14th.
