Baseball Game Preview: Marietta Tigers vs. Point Pleasant Big Blacks

The Marietta Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Point Pleasant Big Blacks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marietta is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Marietta will face Point Pleasant after dropping another heartbreaker against Parkersburg on Tuesday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 2.1 of beating them. The Tigers took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Big Reds.

Meanwhile, Point Pleasant fell victim to Fort Frye and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 8-0 to the Cadets. The Big Blacks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Point Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Marietta, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
