Softball Recap: Peters Township Wins Going Away Against Ringgold

Peters Township got themselves on the board against Ringgold on Friday, but Ringgold never followed suit. They blew past the Ringgold Rams 13-0.

Avery Carson and Makenzie Morgan did most of the damage at the plate: Carson scored four runs while going 3-for-3, while Morgan went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Brunette, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

The win got Peters Township back to even at 1-1. As for Ringgold, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peters Township will venture away from home to take on Canon-McMillan at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Ringgold, they will challenge South Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
