Severance came tearing into Wednesday's contest with ten straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Fort Lupton Bluedevils with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Severance never let Fort Lupton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 26-24.

Matt Zenger paced Severance's offense, picking up nine kills. Zenger got some help from Gabe Schneekloth and his 30 assists. Schneekloth also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Eli Osborne, racking up three apiece.

Severance's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. As for Fort Lupton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-16 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Severance will square off against rival Eagle Ridge Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fort Lupton is set to face off against their familiar foe Windsor Charter Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
