Football Game Preview: South Aiken Thoroughbreds vs. Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles + How To Watch

The South Aiken Thoroughbreds will venture away from home to challenge the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, South Aiken sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-14 victory over Gilbert. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thoroughbreds.

South Aiken didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kamari Hall and Bralyn Bodie. Hall also made seven total tackles, which is notable because South Aiken is 3-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise. The Thoroughbreds got some further help from Nick Starlings: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gray Collegiate Academy). They claimed a resounding 62-7 win over Airport. The War Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 32 points or more this season.

South Aiken better keep an eye on Trevon Williamson. He was instrumental in Gray Collegiate Academy's win, rushing for 81 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. Royce Williamson was another key player, picking up 70 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Gray Collegiate Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Aiken, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
