Vasquez had won two straight road games and Gavin Battey did his part to make it three on Friday. The Mustangs walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Paraclete Spirits thanks in part to Battey, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game.

Noah Rowley was another key player, putting up 12 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The win got Vasquez back to even at 4-4. As for Paraclete, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Vasquez and Christian Center will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Paraclete, they will square off against Palmdale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
