Softball Recap: Ezekiel Academy's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ezekiel Academy entered their tilt with Macon-East Montgomery Academy on Saturday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against Macon-East Montgomery Academy by a score of 10-6. While Ezekiel Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lauryn Darnell was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hannah Jones, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ezekiel Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, they moved to 5-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Ezekiel Academy has already played their next game, a 10-7 victory against Hooper Academy on the 1st. Macon-East Montgomery Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coosa Valley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on March 24th.
