Game recap: Corona del Sol High School Football Team beats Notre Dame Prep

TEMPE, Ariz. - Corona del Sol (Tempe, Ariz.) grabbed a lead in the first quarter and rode that momentum to a 38-19 win over Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, Ariz.).

In the first quarter, the Aztecs put up 21 points. Corona del Sol scored on a touchdown pass by RJ Rhiner to Grant Fishburn, a touchdown run by Colin Freeland and a George Wright touchdown run.

After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, CS was up 35-14 at the half.

The Tempe school saw its 21-point halftime lead decrease to 15 entering the fourth.

The loss comes after Notre Dame Prep defeated Paradise Valley 35-34 last week.
