Reavis is 1-6 against Tinley Park since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rams will take on the Titans at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Reavis barely beat Argo the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams put the hurt on the Argonauts with a sharp 7-0 win on Monday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Jessica Robitz, who gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Argo off the board.
At the plate, Juliana Chalupa was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Aragones, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Tinley Park had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted against the Mustangs since April 10, 2018.
Aubry Haack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Tinley Park saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Nuskiewicz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Reavis is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Tinley Park, they pushed their record up to 17-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Reavis couldn't quite finish off Tinley Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
