Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Klein Oak). They walked away with a 61-54 win over the Klein Bearkats on Friday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 48-24 victory the Bearkats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Grant Stratta and Edward Kelly Jr certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Stratta threw for 214 yards and three TDs while completing 85% of his passes, while Kelly Jr gained 252 total yards and two touchdowns. Kelly Jr's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards. Turbo Jordan Jr was Stratta's top target, picking up 79 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Klein Oak is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.4 points over those games. As for Klein, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Coincidentally, Klein Oak and Klein will both be playing Tomball Memorial the next time they take the field. The Bearkats will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
