Softball Recap: Clifton Comes Up Short

If Clifton was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of Whitney last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Clifton came up short against the Troy Trojans on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The Cubs have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Clifton's loss dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Troy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

While Clifton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
