Volleyball Recap: Tell City Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Tell City and Perry Central, and Perry Central kept the tradition alive. The Marksmen fell just short of the Commodores by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Marksmen didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Commodores 25-20 in the first set.

The 2-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Tell City lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Aubrey Harth paced Tell City's offense, picking up six kills. Harth really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with seven. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Tell City has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Perry Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tell City will welcome Lanesville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Perry Central, they will host Northeast Dubois at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
