Soccer Recap: Independence Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Independence can now relate to. They came up short against the Lightridge Bolts on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Independence has struggled against Lightridge recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9-2. As for Lightridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season.

Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lightridge, they will square off against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Lightridge's offense will have their work cut out for them.
