Volleyball Recap: Hickory Takes a Loss

After a string of three wins, Hickory's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Camden County Bruins by a score of 2-1.

Greta Hausmann paced Hickory's offense, picking up ten kills. Hausmann got some help from Kyla Goode and her 20 assists. Finally, Hausmann was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Hickory's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Camden County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hickory will head out to square off against Kellam at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Camden County, they will venture away from home to take on Perquimans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Pirates have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
