Baseball Recap: Henryetta Comes Up Short

Henryetta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to the Community Christian Royals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Monday.

Blake Gaxiola made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Henryetta's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13-1. As for Community Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-7.

Coming up, Henryetta will venture away from home to square off against Weleetka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Community Christian, they will welcome Newcastle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Racers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Royals surely won't give up without a fight.
