Baseball Recap: Madison Southern's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Madison Southern was feeling good fresh off their 13-2 takedown of Danville on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 9-5 to the Wolfe County Wolves on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-10 back in March.

Madison Southern's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-13. As for Wolfe County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Madison Southern has already played their next matchup (against East Jessamine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wolfe County will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' game: after the Eagles face off against the Jaguars, they'll take on Wolfe County again at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
