Basketball Recap: Westerville North Comes Up Short

Westerville North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Westerville South Wildcats and fell 66-33. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-24 back in December of 2024.

Ariyana Cradle continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Westerville South, going 9 of 14 en route to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Cradle has been hot, having posted 19 or more points the last five times she's played. Londyn Brewer was another key player, putting up ten points and four steals.

Westerville North's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Westerville South, they pushed their record up to 14-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westerville North has already played their next contest (against Westland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westerville South will challenge Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
