Softball Recap: Fort Atkinson Blackhawks vs. Johnson Creek Bluejays

Fort Atkinson proved they can win big last Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Johnson Creek Bluejays 10-9.

Sawyer Guth was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Mia Bilau was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Fort Atkinson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Johnson Creek, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Atkinson will venture away from home to square off against DeForest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnson Creek, they will take on Deerfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
