Basketball Game Preview: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Travelers Rest Devildogs

Greer is 2-8 against Travelers Rest since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Both will face off at 7:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Greer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.

On Wednesday, Greer made easy work of Seneca and carried off a 71-50 victory.

Meanwhile, Travelers Rest came into Wednesday's match having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by a 64-39 margin over Pickens on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Devildogs have posted since December 10, 2024.

Greer pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Travelers Rest, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.

Greer couldn't quite finish off Travelers Rest in their previous meeting back in December of 2021 and fell 52-49. Thankfully for Greer, Jacob Brown (who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
