Volleyball Recap: Brewer Starts Season with Win Against Nokomis

Brewer took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Nokomis Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Witches also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-18, 25-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brewer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carmen Bryant, who had nine digs and one assist.

Brewer was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Looking ahead, Brewer will host Ellsworth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nokomis, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Camden Hills on the 6th.
