Basketball Game Preview: Clay Blue Devils vs. Nease Panthers

The Clay Blue Devils will take on the Nease Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Clay saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against Flagler Palm Coast, falling 69-47. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 301st).

Meanwhile, Nease entered their tilt with Providence School on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 56-50 win over the Stallions.

Clay has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.1 points per game. As for Nease, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
