Mifflin County never let their opponents score on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the State College Little Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Huskies have posted against the Little Lions since June 1, 2021.

Mifflin County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for State College, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mifflin County will host Mechanicsburg at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 2.5, the Wildcats 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for State College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cumberland Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
