Softball Recap: Tough Loss for Trinity Christian

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Stratford Academy Eagles, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-8 on August 25th.

For Stratford Academy's part, Hatsy Russell was incredible, firing off 2 HR, 8 RBIs, and 3 R while going 3-for-3. Those three hits set a new season-high mark for Russell.

Trinity Christian has now lost eight of their last nine games on the road. That leaves them at an 0-16 record this season. As for Stratford Academy, they moved to 6-13 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will head out to take on Thomas Jefferson Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stratford Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Windsor Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
