For the second straight game, Enloe will face off against Sanderson. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Enloe has three straight wins, Sanderson has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Enloe hadn't beaten Sanderson on the road since March 13, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 26-9 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than 14 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Avery Modlin was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 16 batters over six innings while giving up six earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Enloe let Lilly Watson and Madison Young run wild. Watson went 4-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Young scored four runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Young a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Jane Kiec, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Enloe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .623. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sanderson only posted an OBP of .379.
Enloe's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Sanderson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
Sanderson's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Enloe has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.7 strikeouts per game.
