Jacob Grant Turns in Season-Best Effort

Baxter Springs was led to victory by Jacob Grant, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Grant picked up 210 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (19) he has had since back in September of 2023. His longest reception was for an incredible 85 yards.

With the win, Baxter Springs broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. Grant and Baxter Springs will head out to take on Galena at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, Baxter Springs got the W thanks in part to Isaiah Main playing the best football he has all season. Main threw for 460 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 32 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

This year, Main has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 213.7 passing yards per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Caleb Grant Leads Baxter Springs over Neodesha

On Friday, Baxter Springs got the W thanks in part to Caleb Grant playing the best football he has all season. Grant picked up 156 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 53 yards.

On the year, Grant has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 46.3 receiving yards per game.

Big Game from Simmons As St. Mary's-Colgan Won 41-8

Carston Simmons was instrumental in extending St. Mary's-Colgan's winning streak to five on Friday. Simmons turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, while also punching in a rushing score.

St. Mary's-Colgan pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Simmons and St. Mary's-Colgan will venture away from home to challenge Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
