Volleyball Recap: Mikah Bandy and Avery Thigpen Secure Win for Choctawhatchee

Choctawhatchee's tournament run continued when they took on Stone Memorial on Friday. The Indians walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Choctawhatchee easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-20.

Leading Choctawhatchee to victory were Avery Thigpen and Mikah Bandy. Thigpen had 14 assists and two aces, while Bandy had three digs and three aces. Thigpen is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Choctawhatchee's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Stone Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Choctawhatchee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Daphne on the 20th. As for Stone Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Baker on the 20th.
