Basketball Recap: Horseheads Comes Up Short

Horseheads and Union-Endicott squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Horseheads had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Union-Endicott Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Raiders in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Horseheads now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Union-Endicott, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Horseheads does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Union-Endicott, they will square off against Binghamton at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday. Union-Endicott knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Binghamton likes a good challenge.
