Basketball Game Preview: Columbine Rebels vs. Bear Creek Bears

Columbine and Bear Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Columbine Rebels will face off against the Bear Creek Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bear Creek took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Columbine, who comes in off a win.

Columbine will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Ralston Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Columbine secured a 46-40 W over Ralston Valley on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Bear Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Chatfield, falling 56-30. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.

Columbine's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-4. As for Bear Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Everything came up roses for Columbine against Bear Creek in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, as the team secured a 64-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Columbine since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
