Basketball Game Preview: Baker Buffaloes vs. West Feliciana Saints

Baker and West Feliciana are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Baker Buffaloes will head out on the road to take on the West Feliciana Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Baker has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 20.

Last Tuesday, Baker had to suffer through a 58-29 loss at the hands of Slaughter Community Charter.

Meanwhile, West Feliciana made easy work of Assumption on Tuesday and carried off a 73-47 win. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Baker better focus on containing Travis Lathers and Tim Lindsey as the pair were huge in West Feliciana's win. Lathers posted 21 points, while Lindsey scored 20 points. The game was Lathers' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Sullivan, who put up ten points.

Baker's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for West Feliciana, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Baker took a serious blow against West Feliciana in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 71-38. Can Baker avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
