Softball Recap: Villa Grove Blue Devils vs. Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers
Villa Grove won the last time they faced Paxton-Buckley-Loda and things went their way on Thursday too. Villa Grove put the hurt on Paxton-Buckley-Loda with a sharp 16-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.
Piper Kiser was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Kiser was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
In other batting news, Villa Grove let Izzy Dodd and Madison Hinds run wild. Dodd scored three runs while going 3-for-4, while Hinds went 4-for-5 with five RBI and one run.
