Soccer Game Preview: Lake Mary Prep vs. International Community

Lake Mary Prep is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Trinity Christian Academy an 8-0 shutout. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for the Griffins this season.

Meanwhile, everything went International Community's way against Circle Christian last Friday as International Community made off with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won ten contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Hunter Mills and Collin Kelsey scored all four of International Community's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 51 goals.

International Community's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Lake Mary Prep, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12.

Lake Mary Prep suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to International Community in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can Lake Mary Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
