Football Game Preview: Osceola Bulldogs vs. Archangels Catholic Defenders

The Osceola Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Archangels Catholic Defenders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Osceola needed a bit of extra time to put away Riverside. They managed a 36-30 victory over the Chargers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Brycen Kula was his usual excellent self, rushing for 114 yards and four TDs, while also picking up 30 receiving yards. Osceola also got a significant boost from Jackson Winslow, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 125 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Osceola was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverside only rushed for 166.

Osceola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Brayden Santos led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Meanwhile, Archangels Catholic took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-8 win over Nebraska Christian. Considering the Defenders have won four contests by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Osceola now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Archangels Catholic, their record is now 5-0.

Osceola took a serious blow against Archangels Catholic in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 56-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Defenders' Gavin Geilenkirchen, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.
