Softball Recap: MacArthur Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but MacArthur had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Burbank Bulldogs, sneaking past 10-8. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Brahmas' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Kennedy Garner was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Richmond, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: MacArthur lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

MacArthur's win bumped their record up to 14-12-1. As for Burbank, they moved to 19-4 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

MacArthur will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
