Volleyball Game Preview: Johnstown Sir Bills vs. Galway Golden Eagles

The Johnstown Sir Bills are taking a road trip to challenge the Galway Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Johnstown has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Galway will arrive with seven straight wins.

Johnstown came up short against Fonda-Fultonville on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Johnstown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-12, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Galway made easy work of Schoharie on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Galway walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-20.

Galway's victory bumped their record up to 17-2-3. As for Johnstown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-2.

Johnstown suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Galway in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Sir Bills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
