Baseball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Gets the Win

Linfield Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Arrowhead Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Lions. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

Arrowhead Christian got a great performance from Bobby Mahoney as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Mahoney also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Eagles are 6-2 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Diesel Toth was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Arrowhead Christian's record now sits at 14-11. As for Linfield Christian, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Arrowhead Christian beat the Lions by a score of 6-0 on Thursday.
