Oak Glen faced Wheeling Central Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Golden Bears walked away with a 2-0 win over the Maroon Knights. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Maroon Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Oak Glen easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20.

Brooklyn Six paced Oak Glen's offense, picking up ten kills. Six got some help from Mikalyn Balch and her 25 assists. Brayley Lash controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Oak Glen's win bumped their record up to 22-10-3. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Oak Glen and Wheeling Central Catholic will both be playing Charleston Catholic the next time they take the court. The Maroon Knights will host the Irish at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Golden Bears will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
