Basketball Game Preview: Cookeville Cavaliers vs. Lebanon Blue Devils

Cookeville and Lebanon are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Cookeville Cavaliers will face off against the Lebanon Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Cookeville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-45 to LaVergne. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lebanon can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They secured a 74-69 W over Smyrna.

Lebanon's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 6-15. As for Cookeville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Cookeville was able to grind out a solid win over Lebanon in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 50-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cookeville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
