Softball Game Preview: Analy Tigers vs. Windsor Jaguars

Analy is 1-9 against Windsor since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tigers will square off against the Jaguars at 4:30 p.m. Analy has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Analy is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Maria Carrillo, falling 12-3.

Analy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryann Brown, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Meanwhile, Windsor had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Pumas. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kaihla Jarvinen made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Haley Homan was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Haley Matson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Windsor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.

Analy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Windsor, their record is now 16-5.

Analy came up short against Windsor when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 10-5. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
