Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lathrop). Everything went their way against the Johansen Vikings on Tuesday as the Lathrop Spartans made off with a 5-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Spartans needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Their offense was hitting Johansen from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Lathrop now has a winning record of 5-4-3. As for Johansen, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.

Lathrop and Johansen could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings.
