Volleyball Recap: Pike Red Devils vs. Zionsville Eagles
Pike lost against Zionsville back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Red Devils came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0.
The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-16.
Da'Jiane John paced Pike's offense, picking up seven kills. John got some help from Summer Eaton and her 18 assists. Justice King controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Among those leading the charge was Averie Leblanc, who had four digs, two aces, and one block. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. Abby Swan was another key player, getting five digs and four aces.
Pike's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Zionsville, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Looking ahead, Pike will take on Ben Davis at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Red Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Zionsville, they will take on Greenwood in a tournament on Saturday.
