Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Caledonia). They put the hurt on the West Point Green Wave with a sharp 7-0 win on Tuesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Caledonia's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while West Point are ranked 130th).

Caledonia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those eight contests. As for West Point, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Caledonia is set to square off against their familiar foe Lafayette at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Point will face off against rival Pontotoc at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
