Basketball Game Preview: Berne Union Rockets vs. Fairfield Christian Academy Knights

Berne Union and Fairfield Christian Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Berne Union Rockets will face off against the Fairfield Christian Academy Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berne Union is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Berne Union is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Bishop Rosecrans on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Berne Union came up short against Bishop Rosecrans, falling 55-34. The Rockets were down 44-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Fairfield Christian Academy earned a 66-54 victory over Wellington School on Friday.

Fairfield Christian Academy has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Berne Union, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Berne Union couldn't quite finish off Fairfield Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 58-56. Can Berne Union avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
