Volleyball Recap: West Aurora Find Success

The West Aurora Blackhawks were able to grind out a solid win over the Larkin Royals on Thursday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blackhawks.

West Aurora easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17.

West Aurora's victory bumped their record up to 16-12. As for Larkin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 20 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-21 record this season.

West Aurora will square off against Elgin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blackhawks are facing the Maroons at the right time seeing as the Maroons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Larkin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
