It was a good run, but Hoover unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Yosemite Badgers by a score of 2-1. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Badgers earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Hoover's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Alejandra Espino, who had 14 assists and four digs, and Madison Vang, who had 11 digs.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Yosemite, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-9-1.

Hoover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Edison on the 20th. As for Yosemite, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Reedley on the 20th.
