Ludington proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Fremont Packers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Orioles have posted since September 16th.

Ludington has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-15-3 record this season. As for Fremont, their defeat ended a 16-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 30-9.

Ludington and Fremont should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Orioles will face off against Central Lake on the 30th with a big rank advantage (203 vs. 613). Meanwhile, Fremont (ranked 118th) will meet Montague (ranked 450th) at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
