Softball Recap: Carteret Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennedy Memorial, Carteret was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out East Brunswick Vo-Tech 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Ramblers: when they faced off against East Brunswick Vo-Tech back in April, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Carteret saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trinity Bernadino, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Another was Erika Valdez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Carteret's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for East Brunswick Vo-Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Coming up, Carteret will welcome St. Dominic Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Brunswick Vo-Tech, they will face off against Henry Hudson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
