Basketball Recap: Lebanon Yellowjackets vs. Rolla Bulldogs
There's no place like home for the Lebanon Yellowjackets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Rolla on Friday and snuck past 58-56. The victory was all the more spectacular given Lebanon's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 31st).
Lebanon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Boggs, who scored 17 points. Boggs hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Caleb Ray was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Lebanon's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Rolla, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.
Lebanon will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Glendale's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. As for Rolla, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Liberators at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
