Softball Recap: Pendleton Heights Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pendleton Heights had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lawrence North Wildcats a 10-0 shutout. The Arabians' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four matchups.

Pendleton Heights got a great performance from Morgan Bricker as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Bricker has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aubrey Fox was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Avry Miller was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.

Pendleton Heights kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Pendleton Heights is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Lawrence North, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.

As of now, neither Pendleton Heights nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
