Softball Recap: Los Altos Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Los Altos and Linfield Christian squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Los Altos had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 9-8. The Conquerors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Brianah Alejandre made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Campos, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI.

Los Altos' loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Linfield Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Los Altos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Linfield Christian, they will welcome Palos Verdes at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Sea Kings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
