Football Game Preview: Chandler Wolves vs. Basha Bears + How To Watch

The Chandler Wolves will venture away from home to take on the Basha Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chandler is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against Hamilton by a score of 30-17. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Huskies on their field since October 26, 2018.

Will Mencl had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 105 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 201 yards while completing 78.9% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Chandler's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. 95 of Mencl's passing yards were hauled in by Maxwell Sprott.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chandler was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

On Saturday fans watched as two of the best teams in the nation hit the field. Basha sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 19-16 victory over Liberty. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Basha's win came from a few key players Chandler will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jaden Baldwin, who picked up 141 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Basha also relied on Baldwin, who's 47-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

Chandler's record now sits at 10-2. As for Basha, their record is now 11-1.

Chandler came up short against Basha when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 38-27. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bears' Noah Roberts, who rushed for 95 yards and three scores, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
